Where did the Halo come from?

This evolutionary device was invented by Bryce Taylor, a practicing physical therapist in Indianapolis, Indiana while tinkering with adaptations for low back and shoulder stabilization methods..  He found the stability ball to be a great addition to his core stabilization protocols.  In doing so, many clients complained of wrist discomfort when performing stabilization exercises with the ball and so the first handlebar apparatus was born to not only meet the ergonomic needs of the exerciser, but also to be a versatile apparatus for many forms of exercise.

Immediately realizing the potential in fitness, Bryce began creating unique exercise content and categorizing these new exercises into levels of difficulty.  Over 200 safe exercises have been created and modified to meet the needs of nearly all abilities and fitness goals.

How can it help me?
One user may use the Halo as handlebars to help them get up from sitting on a stability ball and another may use the device to perform very advanced strength and conditioning exercises.  The Halo has enhanced the utility of the stability ball for both high level athletes and beginner exercisers through the many levels of progression and regression made available by this extremely versatile apparatus.

How does it work?
There are 3 key functions of the Halo
1.   acts as ergonomic handlebar accessory
2.   provides partial stability for safety
3.   guides stability ball in one plane of motion

1.   Ergonomic Handlebar – The HALO may be used on the floor or mounted on any 65 cm stability ball to act as wrist-friendly handlebars to provide a comfortable platform for exercising with or without the ball.  It may also be used to help those that are unfamiliar with the stability ball to sit more safely when performing balance training.

2.   Partial stabilizer – An innovative function of this handlebar apparatus is when it is placed in its downward position it will gently hold the stability ball in place for sitting, plank exercises, ball storage, etc.

3.   Motion guidance – Another benefit of the HALO is that it can restrict motion to a single plane by its one-of-a-kind rocking function.

With the Halo’s versatility and affordable cost, this set of handlebars will change core training and provide new opportunities for group fitness and active aging communities.
