Safety and Piece of Mind

The Halo can be very helpful for assisting patients that either lack sufficient strength or have balance difficulty.  During the rehabilitation process, patients may need to use the Halo as an ergonomic crutch to help advance musculoskeletal or neurological recovery.

Spinal Rehabilitation
Whether a patient is suffering low back pain or recovering from spinal surgery, the stability ball can be very useful to improve range of motion and strengthen the core.  The Halo can augment this process by allowing additional safety when it is used in the downward position and offer handlebars for multiple levels of core strengthening in the upward position.

Geriatrics
As the older adult continues to add years they usually also add fears.  Although the stability ball offers great options for therapeutic exercise and balance training, the ball can often times be intimidating and present fears of falling.  The Halo gives seniors piece of mind while seated on the ball and provides sturdy handlebars to assist the patient when transferring to standing.

Orthopedics
The exercise list for the Halo continues to grow and is already more than plentiful, primarily for stabilization of the spine and shoulders, flexibility, and progressive strengthening of upper and lower extremities, and ergonomically designed for wrist comfort.

Sports Medicine
There is no better way to advance your athlete's strength and aerobic conditioning than stabilization training with the Halo for earlier return to sport.

Neurological Recovery
Sensory integration techniques often times makes a leap form a stable to unstable surfaces including the stability ball.  The Halo allows a smooth transition for trunk stability activities when the Halo acts to partially stabilize the stability ball.

Pediatrics
There is probably nothing more appealing to a child than a big inflatable ball.  Unfortunately, some children don't have the motor skills to tolerate a stability ball without close supervision.  The Halo allows the child to perform therapy exercises on the stability ball with less contact guard assistance.

Women's Health
Whether a woman is suffering pelvic pain, perinatal issues, or incontinence, the Halo provides many options for range of motion and strengthening via proprietary Pilates content.
